Prior to the hearing:
should assist in order to secure effective investigation and fair proceedings.
should not be destructive in order to improve equity and fairness for all stakeholders.
must prepare and attempt to recall as much information regarding the event.
must ensure timeous appearance and attendance.
During the hearing:
act with integrity and openness at all times.
answer all questions to the best of their ability.
provide as much relevant information as possible (remember, a lot of weight will be given to your evidence and peoples livelihood may depend on what is testified).
not discuss the events and process with other employees, especially before an outcome is given, in order to maintain mutual respect among stakeholders.
