The chain conveyor must be serviced before commencement of grain intake to ensure a smooth operation. Thoroughly clean the entire chain conveyor, inside and outside. The following items must be checked, inspected, serviced, repaired or replaced:
Drive Terminal |
Check/inspect the motor and the transmission system especially lubricant levels, leakages, drive chain tension or couplings, bearings and the mounting. Check/inspect the drive sprocket especially wear or sprocket teeth, bearings, mounting and noise. Check/inspect the end-plate with the end-stop switch. |
Tension adjustment terminal |
Check/inspect the mounting, bearings and ensure free movement in the guides. |
Intermediate Section |
Check/inspect the housing particularly look for wear, spillage and leaks of grain and dust, missing bolts and nuts. Check/inspect the drag chain particularly for wears deformed flights, alignment and tension. |
