Providing reliable customer service can lead to an increase in sales and profits. While, on the other hand, if your customer service is sub par you risk losing customers, having fewer repeat customers, and experiencing a negative impact on your business. Remember that it costs you more money to get new customers than to try and retain your existing ones.
