Up to now we have explored two generic capabilities of leadership communication.

  • The ability to communicate – transfer the message effectively in order to influence and inspire your respondent/s.
  • And the ability to be “on top of things” – to gather, interpret and translate information about the internal and external environment – in short informational capacity.

This learning unit more specifically focuses on one of the key topics that leaders communicate to staff and key role-players in mobilising their support for organisational strategy: Translating vision and strategy into practical operational objectives.
