The development of profit orientated food enterprises, growing customers’ expectations and concerns with regards to food quality and safety, as well as increasing requirements of food chain factors, forced many companies in recent years to improve safety and quality of their products through the implementation of quality and safety assurance and management systems. In Part 1 of this skills program, we will clarify the concepts, systems and legislative framework of Quality Management, we will also provide guidelines for implementation, monitoring and recording of information as well as the reporting system. This course will provide you with a framework of knowledge, but it is imperative to study your company's Quality Management System, as industries and individual companies are unique in terms of their Quality management Systems.
