Retreat from the fire and hand it over to the fire brigade:
When a fire breaks out and you do not have the capacity to contain/extinguish it, it is important to call the fire brigade immediately to deal with it. When you hand over the fire brigade remember to brief them on the fire:
- Location of the fire (where it started)
- Source of fuel (is it paper, wood, chemicals)
- Number of people still in the burning area
- Entrances and exits
- Any firefighting equipment in the burning area
