Failure to comply with recommendations made by the incident investigators will result in an increase in the likelihood of the incident recurring. Remedial action is meant to reduce the likelihood or even eliminate the likelihood of the incident recurring. When employees find that management is taking no action to correct the incident then they are demotivated as their safety at the workplace will not be prioritised. Employee morale decreases and productivity falls.
