The Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act describe procedures to be followed when reporting of accidents and injuries to the Compensation Commissioner. Employers pay a yearly levy (as a percentage of the salaries and wages) to the Commissioner. Subsequent claims of employees for injuries are paid from this fund.
