“Economics are too important to be left to the economists.” Anonymous.
"Economics is the study of the way mankind employs scarce resources to satisfy its many needs." Andre Roux.
Two points need to be stressed:
- The process of economics studies what goods and services need to be produced, how should they be produced and for whom should they be produced.
- In essence, economics is a human science, studying the human’s interaction and influence on financial markets and trends.
In this module, we will look at a few fundamental building blocks of economics. The aim is to enable the learner to be able to debate economic concepts and trends.
