The main duty of a secretary/administrative assistant is to provide administrative support to senior managers in an organisation or division. This general description means that they may be given a wide range of tasks and responsibilities, based on the specific needs of their organisation. They may also be asked to take on a variety of secondary duties.

Administrative excellence pertains to the quality of work and the calibre of service that you provide in carrying out your responsibilities. Excellence exceeds the routine expectations of managers, co-workers, and other customers, but it is a standard first set by you. It is something that many aspire to and work hard to deliver. “You are better today than you were yesterday, but not as good as you will be tomorrow.” With that understanding, you can see there is no finish line. Excellence is a commitment to continually do and give your best.
