Customer and Brand

Personal branding is most important in services businesses, because customers demand a high level of personal attention. Your ability to establish and maintain rapport with your customers will result in long-term relationships as well as coveted referral business. And, when customers know and like you, they’re more likely to give you the benefit.

Your brand is what distinguishes you from the rest of other service providers. It creates a memorable impression and builds trust with the buyer/customer.

What Customers Want

Involve your stakeholders, including the customer.

Who knows more about your company than the customers, the employees and many other stakeholders? This is common sense, but many companies forget these simple and easily accessible sources of valuable information for the branding strategy. A simple rule is to use 5 percent of the marketing budget on research and at least obtain a fair picture of the current business landscape including the current brand image among stakeholders, brand positioning and any critical paths ahead. Simply do not forget the valuable voice of your customers in this process.
