Customers are price-sensitive. Every customer looks at prices of commodities before they buy them. Whether merchandise is on promotion or not, the merchandise must be priced. If commodities are priced, the customer can make a decision about their purchases without the embarrassment of having to ask for prices. Some commodities, such as expensive cars, do not have prices on them, but, in such situations, a sales assistant must be nearby to assist the client. Cars on promotion might have prices on them. Good customer service means ensuring that promotional items are clearly and accurately priced.
