An effective display is a result of careful planning and skilful trimming. It requires a level of excellence that must be maintained weekly. Effective displays are competitive; they are visual selling devices that attract passers-by, sell more merchandise and, in general, please customers. The process of creating a display begins with the selection of merchandise to be displayed. A display requisition must be obtained from the head of the store. The requisition is checked by the management to see if it will blend in well with the rest of the in-store displays.
